FAQ

Questions, answered

The things leaders usually ask before we start. If yours isn't here, the fastest way to an answer is a conversation.

What is the Learn. Do. Be. Leadership Loop™?

The Learn. Do. Be. Leadership Loop™ is a unique framework designed to help leaders move from simply doing tasks to leading with confidence. It closes the gap between surface-level action and meaningful progress by helping you learn what matters, do what drives results, and be the leader your organization needs.

What types of challenges do you help leaders solve?

I partner with leaders to navigate rapid growth, cultural shifts, and unsustainable work practices. My focus is on bringing clarity to the intersection of processes and people, refining decision-making, and creating regenerative solutions for long-term organizational health.

Where do you offer your coaching and advisory services?

I serve local businesses and communities in person throughout the Greater Sacramento region. I am also available for virtual sessions with leaders and organizations across North America.

How are your group coaching sessions structured?

Group coaching involves 90-minute sessions held one weekday per month. To ensure focused attention and open dialogue, these in-person sessions in the Greater Sacramento region are capped at 10 participants.

How does the payment process work for your programs?

We begin by confirming your interest and ensuring that the program is the right fit for your specific leadership and organizational goals. Once we determine it is a strong match, we will coordinate the payment details directly with you.

Do I need to be in the Sacramento area to work with you?

No. In-person sessions are for the Greater Sacramento region. Most of the work can happen on Zoom with leaders anywhere in North America.

Where do in-person sessions actually happen?

Often outdoors around the Greater Sacramento region, or at a location that fits the work. We decide together. Consultations usually start on Zoom either way.

Can a whole team join if we are not local?

Yes. Facilitation and group coaching are designed to work on video as well as in person. Geography is a logistics question, not a qualification.

I just got promoted to manager. Where do I even start?

First, take a breath. Almost every new manager feels this way. You were great at your old job, and now the job is helping other people do theirs. That is a different skill, and it can be learned.

Start small. Meet one-on-one with each person on your team this week. Ask what they need from you. Then listen more than you talk.

How do I manage people who used to be my coworkers?

This is one of the hardest parts of a promotion. Your friends are now your team, and things feel awkward.

Name it out loud. Tell your team that the change feels new for everyone. Then be clear and fair with everyone the same way. Trust grows when people see you act the same every day.

My employees won't take ownership. What am I doing wrong?

Often, nothing is "wrong" with your people. They may not know what "done well" looks like, or they may be waiting because you always step in.

Try this: when someone brings you a problem, ask, "What do you think we should do?" Then let them try. Ownership grows when people get room to decide.

I help leaders and teams build this habit through the Learn. Do. Be. Leadership Loop. Contact Me to talk it through.

I own a business and I'm doing everything myself. How do I step back?

You are not alone. Many owners become the bottleneck because they care so much. But a business that needs you for every decision can't grow.

Start by writing down every task you did this week. Circle the ones only you can do. The rest are tasks to teach, hand off, or stop.

My team doesn't get along. How do I fix it?

Teams struggle when people don't trust each other or don't feel safe speaking up. The good news is that trust can be built on purpose.

I use proven tools like The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and Working Genius to help teams understand each other and work better together.

Our leadership team isn't on the same page. What can help?

When leaders pull in different directions, everyone below them feels it. A focused planning session with an outside facilitator helps leaders say what matters, agree on it, and leave with a clear plan.

I facilitate strategy sessions and leadership retreats for CEOs and executive teams in the Sacramento region. Contact Me to plan yours.

Do I need a coach, a consultant, or training?

It depends on what you need.

  • Coaching helps one leader grow, one-on-one.
  • Training helps a group of managers build the same skills together.
  • Facilitation helps a team make decisions and get aligned.

Not sure which fits? That's okay. Contact Me and we'll figure it out together.

Still have a question?

Every engagement starts with a consultation: a conversation about where you are, what you are trying to solve, and whether we are a fit.
